In 1979, <\/strong>the Als\u00f3\u00f6rs campsite underwent extensive improvements. <strong>In 1996, <\/strong>the 57<sup>th<\/sup> FICC RALLY was organised in the joint Als\u00f3\u00f6rs Drivers and Pal\u00f3znak Ny\u00e1rfa Campsite with the participation of 3474 guests with 1479 units from 41 clubs of 26 countries.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In June 1999, <\/strong>the majority of poplars in Ny\u00e1rfa Campsite fell in a big storm and the place was later renamed Europa Campsite (previously the name of the campsite was a reference to the great number of poplars).<strong> The two sites were united in 2001, <\/strong>creating this large but yet cosy holiday resort. <strong>In 2002, the campsite was bought by Balatontourist Zrt, part of SCD Balaton Holding.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After two unsuccessful public liquidation tenders,<strong> in 2014 Pelso Camping Kft, <\/strong>being the sole valid bidder acquired the campsite. As a new owner, Pelso Camping Kft. is planning to revive the once busy resort by renovating the campsite and introducing new services.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pelsocamping.hu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/B-verzio-robbantott-BIG_legendsvar_SMALL.jpg\" class=\"gallery_colorbox\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1386 size-full\" title=\"Pelso Camping fejleszt\u00e9si terv\" src=\"http:\/\/pelsocamping.hu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/B-verzio-robbantott-BIG_legendsvar_SMALL.jpg\"  alt=\"Pelso Camping fejleszt\u00e9si terv\" width=\"1795\" height=\"1558\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The campsite opened in 1954.
